DJ Joel's Angel Hair Pasta with Garlic Butter Clam Sauce 1 package
of angel hair pasta (thin spaghetti or linguine will work also) Cook the pasta per the package's directions. Once your water starts boiling, add a little olive oil and salt before adding the pasta. Make sure you don't overcook the pasta. You want it to be "al denta" or a little bit firm once it's cooked. Chicks don't dig flaccid noodles... Once the pasta is cooked, pour it into a collander and rinse it with cold water to stop the cooking process. While you are waiting for the water to boil for your pasta, peel and crush the garlic cloves. Once your pasta is cooking, add the rest of the olive oil to a pan and heat it over medium heat. Once you see little bubbles forming in the oil, add the crushed garlic cloves. Move them around every few seconds, and once they start showing some brown color, add the stick of butter. Slowly stir the butter to melt it. Once the butter is melted, add the clams, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Turn down the heat a little and stir slowly for 3-5 minutes before removing the pan from the heat. To plate the dish, place some pasta on a dish and add the sauce on top. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese to taste and add a sprig of flat leaf parsley next to the pasta for the impress facotr. Better yet, chop up a couple of sprigs of flat leaf parsley and sprinkle it around the plate. You'll look like you really know what the hell you're doing and your date's panties will likely fall to the floor before you know it...
