BITE ME! the MAN cooking show

Episode 201 - Pumpkin Cheesecake
We've made some changes to the show as we've moved from season one to season two. Joel has moved behind the Bite Me TV cameras and Josh Landis has taken over hosting duties. The show has also changed sets.

Since we're starting the new season in Autumn, Josh is kicking things off with a dessert recipe perfect for the Fall season and the holidays, pumpkin cheesecake.

Pumpkin Cheesecake

1 cup (8 oz.) cream cheese
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg (beaten)
1 cup (8 oz.) canned pumpkin puree
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon powdered ginger

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 graham cracker crust pie shell
whipped cream

Before you begin combining the ingredients, soften the cream cheese. You can either leave it at room temperature until it softens, or heat it in the microwave for 20-30 seconds. If you try to mix your ingredients using hard cream cheese, you will become one unhappy camper. Also, preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Combine cream cheese and sugar in a large bowl, mixing well with a spoon or spatula. Next, add the pumpkin puree and the spices to the mix. Once those are combined, mix in the egg and salt. Now that all of the ingredients for the filling are mixed together, pour the mixture into the pie crust.

Bake the pumpkin cheesecake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. After you remove the maked cheesecake from the oven, let it rest and cool down for at least 15 minutes before eating. Serve with whipped cream.
